Dickwolf rework

Greetings, S-Purple here,

We're coming close to finalizing most of the basic animations for catgirl, m.breeder and f.breeder, now comes the task of polishing our last basic vanilla asset- Dickwolf.

Now the ol dickwolf has stuck around with us for a while now and although that doesnt mean he's an untoucheable design, he's one many of us have gotten used to and familliar with; For that reason we've created a poll to measure how appealing the new design is to out fanbase. You can see the comparison between the two-

It should be noted that the dickwolf has barely any animations completed compared to many of our characters, so the extra-work incurred by changing designs will be at a minimum. We've always strived to make the highest quality artwork for every monster, and I would like to ask the help of the community to do so:

6.1.1 Hotfix, Acen Panel Canceled

Hey guys, here's the 6.1.1 hotfix you've been waiting on. It'll be for Patrons in the Creations section, as usual. Not sure whether there will also be another mid-month release or just 6.2 at the end of the month, I'll keep you all updated.

Also, I'm sorry to announce that the panel I was hoping to hold at Acen this weekend has been canceled :(. I had a minor family emergency come up and I won't be able to attend the con this year. I'm sincerely sorry to anyone who was looking forward to hanging out with me and attending the panel, and I promise to do panels at other cons in the near future.

Finally, we'll be holding a poll soon for you guys to vote on whether you like the new redesign of the dickwolf that S has been working on.

Anyway, here are the patch notes for the hotfix:

6.1.1 hotfix

- Added the ability to talk to Lily in the guildhall and the "Rest Stop" event back to the game
- The Marchioness quest and event are back in the game (she doesn't reward you with Seraphs yet, though)
- Kay now gives you the Mermaid Jetsam at the beach, though you need more than 650 affection with her to get the event
- You can now use the shift key to skip dialog
- Added a debug code for adding energy
- New dialog box and new dialog tags for Marquis and Co.
- Tags will show up in the town for you to talk with the shopkeepers, but you can't use them yet

Bug Fixes
- The game now starts in May
- Fixed some more events to recognize player gender, but haven't fixed all of them yet
- From now on, newly added traits and events should be correctly added to saves loaded from older versions as well (starting with this version)
- Can now see traits and effects on a monster in the selection menu (when releasing or fulfilling requests)
- Dickwolf Jizz increases hearts like it should again
- The Pink Pearl should no longer disappear after reaching 10 quality
- Consumable effects won't "stick" to monsters accidentally any more and will be removed correctly each day
- Demon x Catgirl has been fixed
- Fixed the catgirl idle hair issues and noses
- Fixed Dickwolf x Dickwolf hand
- Animation arrows no longer pulse
- You can no longer donate after choosing to keep a new monster
- Gross is no longer a reward
- Request reward gil has been reduced back
- You need 650 affection with Margo to get the random guild donation

Known Issues
- The game hangs a little when starting a new game; it's just pre-loading some things
- The Alchemy Menu and Building Upgrade Menu don't work yet, so the Alchemy Building is not worth buying
- Marchioness quest can't be completed yet
- Can't sort by monster type in the Item menu yet
- There's no tutorial yet
- Pretty much all of the in-game stat and price values are placeholder; do not expect things to be remotely balanced just yet
- "I hate words" can cause strange issues (maybe you should try liking words more)

Wanted: Web Developer

Hey; some of you may recall that a while ago we were looking for someone to handle web development for the project. We're finally in a position where we'd like to hire someone on for this purpose. We've gotten some promising applications already but we're still taking more before we make a decision.

We need someone who would be capable of setting us up with our own server and self-hosted blog, wiki, and forums. We're also looking for someone who'd be willing to aid in development of a content voting system, and possible further integration between the game and the website itself. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in JavaScript/jQuery, back-end server scripting (php, etc), database integration with MySQL or something similar, and experienced in working with content management systems.

If you're interested in applying for the position, please e-mail your resume and portfolio to

Additionally; regarding the PM/coder position, we're still looking at hiring someone on for this in the future, though I apologize to all of our applicants for how long the process has been taking. We've been having to prioritize other work first, but this is still a position we'll be looking to fill eventually.

Hello all, the harvesting animations are now beginning their implementation! Huzzah! We'll be working on both Female and Male breeder animations until they are completed, then on to the Dickwolf!
Here are some poses that S-purple has finished.

And some concepts for male breeder!

And some stuff for fun

Alpha Build 6.1 for Patrons and 5.9 Public Release

Alright, putting up the new release in a few minutes here. Important: 6.1 has the possibility of breaking old saves. Sorry for the inconvenience; though if you're handy with JSON you should be able to copy and paste old monsters or other save data into a new save file. I may write up a guide for this if I have time and enough people request it.

There's also a lot of balance affecting changes in this newest version, so know that (1) these changes aren't yet balance tested or final, and (2) any feedback on balance going forward is appreciated. Also, there's a high chance that some of the new traits or consumable effects may be broken, and if they're easy fixes I'll try to drop a hotfix as soon as bug reports come in.

6.1 Patch Notes

- New Lesbian Animations: Catgirl x Holstaurus, Catgirl x Catgirl, Catgirl x Female Elf
- New catgirl idle animation (ears are a bit screwy currently, will fix)
- You can now cycle between different loops in animations by clicking the left and right buttons
- Can now get more complicated requests, with stat and trait requests (the system for generating them is placeholder currently, though)
- New traits: Gross, Altruistic, Selfish, Cruel, Nurturing, Mutagenic
- Traits are now unlocked by completing silver or gold requests (placeholder system; in the future most traits will be unlocked by special requests)
- Added the Church in town (no events there yet)
- Added new hotkeys to some menus
- Added many more of the old events back to the game (some may not have correctly gendered dialog, or may be missing associated consumables, etc)
- Added a number of unique new consumables and consumable effects (gotten through events)
- You can now see what active temporary effects are on your monsters
- You can access the alchemy lab and the building upgrade menu, but neither of them do anything yet

Bug Fixes/Balance
- Normal consumable effects should only last for one day now
- XP bar should no longer show crit XP
- Price should now show correctly when hovering off in the shop menu
- Fixed the jerkiness with ranch scrolling, it's much smoother now
- It's way easier to breed higher growth modifiers (maybe too easy?)
- You get a lot more gil from fulfilling monster requests now
- Pregnancy chances should now display correctly at high %s
- Fixed some other minor visual issues with various menus

Known Issues
- You may have trouble loading saves from earlier versions
- The Alchemy Menu and Building Upgrade Menu don't work yet, so the Alchemy Building is not worth buying
- Marchioness quest can't be completed yet, nor can you get the Lily volunteering quests in the guildhall yet
- Can't sort by monster type in the Item menu yet
- There's no tutorial yet
- Pretty much all of the in-game stat and price values are placeholder; do not expect things to be remotely balanced just yet
- "I hate words" can cause strange issues (maybe you should try liking words more)

As for the 5.9 public release: I'm considering this version stable enough to replace 5.3 altogether. 5.9 patch notes can be found here:
