Here's the 7.1.1 patch notes. This is a small hotfix in the interim before 7.2, which will come later on February 1st.

Additions
- The Yuelia Winter Solstice event (with minigame and sex scenes) is now in game! It starts on 12/22.
Bug Fixes / Balance
- Futa Demoness should now work correctly
- The feral demon in slot 5 should show up correctly now
- Various visual fixes on: feral catguy faces, feral dickwolf leg/eye, feral elf mouth, feral holstaurus hair+facecolors, regular catgirl hair, futa holstaurus' penis, catgirlxbreeder squarts
- The gallery is less dumb
Known Issues
- There's some weirdness with monsters with the Feral trait when you have Feral disabled
- There's some small cosmetic issues on the new ferals, and some ferals lack color variants or have unfinished colors
- Pen silhouettes for some monsters are currently incorrect and show up as base monsters instead
- Some animations have been disabled or are glitchy due to the new overhauls and colors
- Colors are incorrect in a number of pens and animations
The hotfix doesn't launch for some reason. The previous versions do. Is it just me?

DeleteDo we at least have a tutorial?....It would much appreciated if that was part of the game at this point. You know to let players actually make headway in the game without having to go through hours of trial and error. Sounds fair right? I've had the game for awhile but it still feels like I'm making little progress the closer I get to the halfway mark and something to look over in the beginning would defiantly be helpful. Also, are there other ways to make money because even if you were to be a master at this game, the amount of money to pay off the debt is mathematically impossible just from tasks alone. Maybe whoring monsters out for a constant income? Or doing odd jobs for the guild? Maybe even finding ways to lower the amount due each month by using the approval rating of Margo or Lilly or something. I love the game and will continue to support it with my donations but it would be nice for the developers to at least throw the players a bone in terms of gameplay for a change instead of new designs and animations. That's what truly makes a game great. Besides, at least this there wouldn't be any real designs or animation involved. Just some text and programming adding the currency amount for each action and the players can deal with the rest. It'd defiantly be easier and more interesting to play knowing that we can finally pass the halfway mark. Anyways, like I said I love the game and I hope you all keep making it better. Thanks!
ReplyDeletePut Geyser on your monsters, harvest them, sell the goods. You'll have more money than you'll know what to deal with.

DeleteIf you get an handle on selective breeding, you could have a stable full of Added Value monsters. (For your first one you might have to place an order at the Guild, however. Order costs are the GP you gain from donating monsters, and the first one is a measly 2GP. Work from there ^^)
Fishing is more reliable, though. I wound up up 40K+ after the first month when coupled with breeding sale monsters.
As for lowering the debt amount, Margo's looking for something to deal with the "Delilah" problem. But hasn't found anything yet.

DeleteLoaded up a save from 7.1, cannot get any monsters to show up in the breeding pen. Game loads fine, has all my money, GP, requests, and the date, but no monsters. Can't even get monsters to show up in the breeding pen when I buy them from the shop. Everything works when I start a new game though.

ReplyDeleteLastly, whenever a monster develops an attraction towards a Futa, the name doesn't show up on the "Likes" thing that appears. It's blank, ie "Likes " and that's all that happens.

DeleteWhy would 7.2 be a general release? All the newest builds are made available to Patrons first, and then become the "free" build a month or so later. That's the whole point of being a Patron, along with access to the debug codes and other benefits. 7.2 won't be available for free users until I'm guessing March or so, since Patrons should get access to it in early February.

DeleteSirake, but at the same time dollar a month is not so much, so it feels appropriate that early game access is what we get from that much. There are the pin-ups and debug codes for patrons, who donate more. And despite all that BS team doesn't actually charge that much if you look at some of the patreons.

Your entire post is kind of skewed. I have no particular problem waiting an extra month for added content, but the whole point is that as of 1/2/16, it's going to be TWO builds ahead of the free one. It's called balance. For instance, if 7.1.1 was to be free on the same date as patrons get the 7.2 update there wouldn't be so much of a big deal over it and people might actually calm down a bit. One build in the difference is the general way of Patreon releases, not two.

DeleteAs always thank you for the frequent updates. They've led me to consider increasing my monthly contribution. I haven't decided yet, but I'm tempted.
ReplyDeleteI have no complaints at this time! I do of course have a couple of requests/suggestions. :)
For updates, if you don't already have a template you're using, set one up (even just something you copy and paste would work fine), but in any case your template ought to include a short set of links to (for example) the official wiki front page, the bug list/known problems page(s), preferred feedback documentation and maybe a FAQ. Listing the known issues in the update is great but linking to a page too ensures that we only comment on the latest as opposed to whatever you posted on Monday.
To expand on the preferred feedback, by this I mean a description of what the team wants from those of us interested in helping with testing (as opposed to just playing the game). For example, there are aspects of the game which are not bugs per se but which you aren't focused on now and don't want/need feedback on. You may or may not intend to address them before calling the first version of the game "done". Just keeping track of them would help us help you.
Will 7.2 have any significant changes? There's not enough to keep me enticed right now, progress is incredibly slow, and for that I'm thinking of canceling my pledge.

ReplyDeleteI can't breed any monsters. I exported my save from 7.1 to 7.1.1 and everything transferred over. All the pens are full, all my consumables are present and the energy, date and time are correct. However, I cannot breed any monsters as they don't appear in the breeding coral. Glad I didn't delete 7.1 : )

DeleteFor the Marchioness Quest, she asks for a feral futanari. It doesn't look like a possible combination. Even with debug codes. A monster can have either one or the other, but not both. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
ReplyDeleteNope, you are correct. Feral, Futanari, and Neotony don't mix. If you want the seraphs, you will unfortunately have to start over. I'd recommend saving before talking to her, just to be on the safe side.

Deleteyou can export your save to disk and open it with wordpad. You can easily completely destroy your game if you dont know anything about code, but if you're careful... Suffice to say, this is definitely something you CAN do, just not by default in the game.
DeleteThe player is the first creature in the save. Browse through you other monsters for the format for the stat sytem. Have fun savebreaking.
Final word of advice, if you do this. Start small and keep backups.
You can add traits without cheating. The sandwich you can make with alchemy has a 5% chance to add a random trait - that goes for the breeder too. In my last game my max lvl breeder had Too Stronk and Altruistic. That along with the Mermaid Jetsam was super helpful for levelling new monsters SUPER fast. Just be careful and save before eating the sandwich, so you can reload if you get Selfish or Cruel.

ReplyDeleteIs this not an option on the starting screen? If the option doesn't do anything, i'd say this is a bug. Otherwise, it's definitely already an option to disable the futa trait. Neoteny and feral also have similar options...

I think the animations (apart from Yuelia) are not yet finished (Vanilly stressed that it takes a long time to make them). However Yuelia event should be included in this update, together with some fixes. I think the breeding animations will be coming in after this month's update. But let's see :)

DeleteAnd as for the animations: I asked Vanilly about how long does it take to make them and she answered this:
"I need to mention that while it takes me 1.5 days to ANIMATE, this doesn't include all the prep time for it to be actually animated. It takes about a week or a week and a couple days to actually prep everything for animation. It takes a few hours to concept up a pose, then a whole day to complete the drawing. Afterwards it takes a couple more days to finish all variations for that specific pose. Once that's done it takes me a trial and error period of a day and half to two days to make sure pieces are cut and rotate correctly, or make new parts for a particular animation. It's a pretty lengthy process."
So basically we can assume only like 2-3 animations are fully done at best. I think the team will wait for more animations before implementing it in the game as a full "update". Which unfortunately means most probably we'll get the new animations next month? but let's see, the update should be here soon.
yeulia event was in 7.1.1 hotfix, so should hopefully see a couple animations in 7.2, if they had the "Animations Tracker" on the wiki listing what was actually animated and awaiting coding rather than, from what i can understand is, listing it as approved to be animated as well as animations not yet in game, hopefully whoever adds them to the tracker can add in another part to it so it lists approved sketches awaiting animation and animations awaiting implementation.

Unless im wrong with how they have them listed on the tracker in which case there could be quite a few. guess we will have to see when they release the update

DeleteI asked vanilly in one of the posts, how long does it take for an animation to be implemented in the game. She said it takes 1-2 days to create the scene (Spurple's work I guess) and eventually a bit more for the faces. Then it is around 1,5 days to animate, after which comes making the face/colour variations, polishing the made stuff etc. Basically one animation is about 8 days of work.
DeleteI agree, it would be better if the animation tracker would show which animations have been started, which are made and not yet implemented, and then which are implemented in the game. I don't think it's much work to make it, and for the people it helps to know how far is the team progressing.
On the side note, I really hope Subtank is not just responsible for making the scene scetches. I'm not an artist, but it just seems like not that much of work done if there are 3-5 new scetches made within a WEEK.

ReplyDeleteWhenever I start a new game, the first monster to take a consumable (e.g. dickwolf jizz) disappears in the ranch selection after mating or doing volunteer work. It happened in build 7.0 and 7.1. Somehow, I got the monster to reappear in 7.0 and continue as normal.
