Progress Update
Hey guys; managed to get the guild services system all working, along with some smaller UI bits like stat tooltips. I'm currently working on getting gremlins in-game, as well as fleshing out the traits and consumable effects. I was also was able to get the animation testing gallery that Fleet made for us working in-game, so patrons can look forward to getting the debug codes for that.

DeleteI seriously don't mean to be offensive when I say that anyone who reads this as a promise or hype does not know WTF they're talking about, at least, not with respect to what real software engineering is like. I'm not a marketer, and I'm sure plenty of marketers would disagree with me. But for my money, Hbomb is doing exactly the right thing to give me confidence that he's directing his efforts appropriately and making steady progress.
Sorry to be combative/patronizing, but I enjoyed seeing this little update to the same degree and for similar reasons to discovering that my favorite pairing was being put in with the next update.

DeleteAs much i like this way of updating, "hey i got X done" instead of the "i will do X, Y and Z for the next update", ppl will complain about it. Hell even if he do the way i'm saying ppl will complain, "WHUT patreon only!?!", the trick thing is: give less room as possible to complainment.

DeleteYou're right - it might be easy, or even automatable. If so, then it might be worth it to automate incremental builds. On the other hand, I wouldn't want to get flooded with Creation updates.
DeleteIt should also be said that many free software developers practice this habit: having both a stable release for the masses, and a test or unstable release; containing new untested bits; for the people who want to bug test. It makes for less complaints by allowing bigger bugs to be dealt with before the "public" gets to it. And it could be a nice incentive to get people to that $10 tier.

Seems to me that Kala's legs are more muscular now in the calf and thigh, though her butt did lose some definition. I'm not sure about the fatter part - it seems like her shoulders are slightly wider while her lower back and upper arms are a bit more muscular. I generally like the change, though just the slightest bit more definition in the butt might be better.
DeleteFor Cordelia I think the story is similar - her torso used to be smaller relative to her thighs/hips but now it's more proportional. I love the change, including Cordelia's new bottoms. One possible exception is her jacket being off-shoulder, which (to me) removes all resemblance to a lab coat.

How about holidays within the game continuity? Like the day Sister Lily discovered they didn't have to fight/kill monsters... they could just fuck them stupid. Call it "Breeding day" or "St. Lily day".

Another fatso. As if the game wasn't ripe with this shit. The booty one isn't that bad, but Cordelia is simply disgusting. She looks like they gorged her on a monthly diet consisting of deep-fried donuts with extra butter. She already was a cowtit, but it looks like S-Purple made it a point of honor to push his personal aesthetic to as many characters in the game as possible.
It seems every fucking minority group - furries, gays, now "bbw" - has their fill, except actual normal, average folks.
I'm not even talking about flat or small breast (as it seems they are almost extinct in the land of BS), but how many characters in the game have average tits, normal (not humongous) hips?

ReplyDeleteI have been a fan of your game for about 1½ year and it was a great game even back when I started playing it, but I think that after you updated the code you forgot some of the features that made your game so fun to play. I am not talking about animations or looks, I am talking about your great intro to the game in the old version that explained all the different stats I really miss that. The second thing I have to say is maybe it would be a good idea to use an implementation strategy like Scrum where you ALWAYS come with a new update every two weeks. You do not have to tell us exactly what will be in the update beforehand the first few time, you should just learn how to make use stories like "Have an intro to the game that explains stats" or "Implement new events" or "make a working algorithm for the price of monsters" etc. After having made a list of use stories give them points depending on how hard you think they are and then choose use stories you believe you can have done in a week . After that take the chosen use stories and make them in to smaller bits that you can accomplish in one day of work. This way you will get a better idea of what you can do in 2 weeks and the constant two weeks update will also mean that some of the shitty commentaries might go away. This a process that will take time to implement I would suggest that you for the next month or two try to make to update a month where the only promise is the date for the new update and nothing about what you expect to have in the update before hand.

If you only do 1 dollar a month and are complaining...why? XD Pretty sure you can afford a dollar a month and if you can't then I think its best you fix the way you make money cause if 1 dollar is hard to achieve in a month then just don't do it lol. If you contribute 10 dollars like I do (but now I'm going to switch to 30 just to get people mad >:D and also cause I can afford 30 bucks a month and love Hartista's strong will that doesn't crack under the amount of bitching) then I guess its reasonable that you'd get worried with where your money is going. For example, if he misses a deadline or says he will do something and doesn't complete it. If any of those scenarios causes Hartista to offend you or make you think he's a fake then just leave. I don't mean that in a negative way, what I mean is that if you don't like it its best to just put a stomp on your monthly payments and move on or come back some other time.
Im sure Breeding Season isn't the only thing you have to look forward to in your life lol. Idk maybe go out with your friends or girlfriend, watch a movie, eat some pickles <---( lol), learn an instrument, take coding classes and learn what Hartista is going through cause I know its hard XD, exercise (I started working out again too). Why do detractors so often insist on dramatically over-exaggerating or deliberately misrepresenting the opposed/supportive position? Is it because their own stance begins to look childish and spoiled and entitled if they don't?
DeleteMouse, Supporters are not saying even half the things you mock here: the project is not being completed in a particularly timely manner, deadlines are very rarely met at all, content production is a very far cry from stable or balanced.
That still doesn't give you, or anyone else, any reasonable right to complain about it. You can be critical in an informed and calm manner (I often am, and yet I've been mocked as a crazy white-knighter by detractors. No surprises there), and you can offer constructive opinion or personal wants in a mature and calm way... but complaining about it and mocking the creators illustrates a sense of personal entitlement to which you are NOT entitled.
