Progress Update
Did more work on the Animation customization system, and started a bit on the dialog system as well as some other UI bits. I've been remaking some of the UI components from scratch (rather than incorporating default Flash UI components which required hacking things together in a manner that was introducing UI bugs). This means that it'll be easier for me to modify UI functionality more easily. One thing that I'm working on is making it so that the Trait display box is a lot less annoying to use; you'll be able to expand it so that you aren't forced to scroll in that tiny box. That portion of the UI will still require more work, though.

Was wondering when an official Eta on the Patreon 1$ payed content release,since we're now up to Alpha 5.3,but from what i see it's going to be a clean up/ui update.

ReplyDeleteThe sex scenes will have them eventually - the majority of them will have at least a couple sex animations to them, but the cumming scene is a secondary concern to getting all breeding animations implemented, and that's only after the game rehaul H-Bomb is doing right now. After that's completed, we'll be getting the fluff content at a regular pace.

ReplyDeleteyour not really paying for the game, it's more your paying for him not to worry about getting a real job so he can pay for things like his living quarters and food... If he had to worry about that he wouldn't be working on the game, so if you are happy with what the game is like now, quit paying.

ReplyDeleteGuys, no amount of money you give will make him work faster or harder. If you donated you did so by choice. It's obvious that H-Bomb is not the fastest porn game developer in the world. You can choose to keep giving or not, but I'm pretty sure this is his top speed and productivity.

Patient yes but he was crazy to thing he would get all that code'ing done in 8 hours. you should all expect code'ing to take all day at the minimum but at least he should make this daily update thing a weekly thing so we know wtf is going on.

Apparently he's too challenged with his problems and life to do what he means to do. Make of that whatever you will.
Just so you guys know, this guy is paid more than a lot of people with 8 year Medical Degrees. I know he pays a few other people, but I doubt he pays them as much as he takes himself. 2 full time developers who make games like Assassin's Creed and Skyrim are paid about 50-80k a year and they work between 8-10 hours a day on their projects. If they don't work enough and slack off, they get fired. Games like the one H-Bomb is producing are typically completed in 3-4 months time.
ReplyDeleteYou should all drop your subscriptions down to $1 a month or less. The slower he works, the longer he gets to rake in this insane amount of money. Go spend your money on something more promising. You can always raise your subs back up when H-Bomb actually starts producing material.

no kidding. H-Bomb is making over 20 grand a month. WTF is he doing where he cant sit down and at the very least devote 6-8 hours a day to do what he is being paid to do. Its not like he has to work a 9-5 job right now with that amount of income. He had 2 months to do this and only now is applying himself. If he wasn't building a corporation from scratch or came down with Ebola there is little excuse.

Oh goodie, UI updates. Not being sarcastic there; that's an important component. Thanks for the progress updates, H-Bomb. Good to know what you're working on and how it is coming along. I'm on the edge of my seat with all these developments.

ReplyDeleteThe way I read the $1 pledge agreement is that you get access to updates a month before public release. This does not express that an update will come every month. I get that he stated a release coming out, but obviously shit is going down and the agreement has made no fault.
H-bomb made the agreement in good faith, but it never seemed likely to me (given my fairly long experience in software development) that he could possibly hit his targets unless he was some kind of super ace ninja robot. Well, turns out he's a human, but I'm okay with that.

ReplyDeleteAny person that reads this and knows how software development works, nothing goes perfectly and rarely is implementing anything major, like a code rework, smooth. Everyone needs to calm the fuck down, if you need your porn fix at this very moment just go to pornhub or redtube or something. I'm pretty sure that H-Bomb occasionally reads these and it's probably stressing him out with how pissed everyone is, so I don't think it would be good to add to that stress as it will only slow his work down more.
Judging from your post, you seem to be a patron. How does it feel donating your greens for H-Bomb's new Ferrari? I guess you really had to (ironically) go full ad hominem to everybody else, except the loyal patrons in order to justify somehow your "well" spent money.

We're not making ad-hominem attacks, we're making viable complaints like, "Hey, you make $300,000 a year now, where are the other team members" and "Hey, you made $50,000 in radio silence in 2 months, apologized, and seem to have just started actually working on what you said you would."
Why should we just "calm the fuck down" and not let our frustrations be heard as paying customers? How can you just accept anything that he says without fucking question and lash out at people who have legitimate things to say?
So the thing is i doubt that some of these anons are actually patrons why would you come on to the blog just to post money related questions and issues if some of you are paying customers just go to the patron comments and say something there that is where the money is coming from not the blog H-bomb would most likely visit there first and see how he's patrons feel as its their money it just hard to believe some random anons that's all it makes no sense.

If your saying H-bomb bought a Ferrari. you are either stating a fact, or telling a lie. In this case, you are speculating as to what H-Bomb is doing with the money you aren't giving him. For you to be upset about how he spends it, is kind of silly.. Also, you should probably review the post of the guy at 10:41. He never said you didn't have the right to voice your opinion. He said that those people who pay can speak for themselves. (though it wasn't worded the best, so it sounded condescending)

I'm seeing people throwing at him tons of money and see little to none progress. Since you don't get it and you keep on paying him, might as well have fun with your naiveness. You should even go ahead and buy his McLaren now.

ReplyDeleteThese updates are nice and all, but can we get an estimate of when you'll be done (ESTIMATE, no "it'll definitely done by x!" I'm talking "November 15~20 if all goes according to plan" or something similar) or at the very least, what you have left to do? I don't care about when it's done, but having some indication of whether or not it'll be "soon" or "later" would be nice.
ReplyDeleteI definitely think while the new rehaul is being done, we should get some stuff added to the old version... animations and shit so people wont gripe as much. they will feel like you're actually doing something rather than nothing. big updates are nice and all, but the majority of the players have the maturity level of a hostess ding dong. they need entertainment to keep them satisfied.
