Sorry it took so long, the bug was a lot more tenacious than I expected, and required me to rewrite some of the code handling variations and color changes for monsters. There may still be some issues with clipping or eye variation, but I intend to have those fixed by the end of the week.
Expect the next hotfix (4.8.2) around the weekend. I'll get the rest of the animation issues ironed out, toss in the catgirl/catgirl animation, and hopefully refine the donation system a little bit.
Of course, let me know if you guys run into any more major issues.

I think I saw that animation... It was posted somewhere as "an example of how terrible the art is, now" or some-such. The breeders titties were doing this weird spinning thing, and it looked a bit too mechanical... I think they may have scrapped it temporarily so the new animator can do a better job, with more realistic (or at least appealing) movement.
DeleteFor now, the old animations are filling in the blanks, which I personally think is preferable to a pop-up box saying "Animation is missing." However, it seems like some very vocal people are just really upset by some sort of "artistic dissonance" that makes their 8 foot long cocks shrivel into little Vienna sausages.
If you go into some of the new animator (mittsies) past work and take a look, he does the weird tits spinning mechanically thing in a few pieces. Im not sure if its stylistic to his own personal appeal or if he just can't animate tits. Either way, glad they pulled that animation, it just looked goofy.

ReplyDeleteHad to play through 4.8 before making a comment... other than the minor animation bugs already mentioned; the only thing I noticed was a major need for a little re-balancing. Margo didn't show up at all until month 4, dropped way to much money on me (like 3 times the total for the month) then didn't show up again for several months... the Alarune didn't show up at all in the beginning when she's most needed, little things like that.
ReplyDeleteI did notice a minor bug to add to the list (for the Guild / Store donations) ... I bumped the traits up to "20 gil" and saw an increase in the number of monsters with traits "waiting for the store to refresh on it's own" but if you go into the store and refresh the list almost none of the monsters have traits and you have to exit and wait for the list to refresh on it's own again. Minor but just an FYI when you balance it all. In general there seem to be a lot less traits than in earlier versions IE: Geyser didn't even show up until month 7 which makes it very hard to "market" your consumables.
Last comment for now... I really like the new Demons in general, but they all look the same, I know the hair is a little different, but the color pallet is all dark purple ... there is very little variation and in a word they get boring very quickly. If I can make a recommendation that while keeping with the dark pallets is understandable for a demon we need a good "evil" color scheme
How about ... A true black demon with red highlights, A blood red demon with black highlights, A navy blue demon with violet highlights... You get the idea. It's no fun to breed them if they all look alike anyway. Just a suggestion.
And would you PLEASE change the damn "you a winner" screen ;-) WTF U HAX

ReplyDeleteI think the idea is that they've got more meat on their bones than the other types. But you don't have to be obese to have a belly button like that. Just depends on where you carry weight. Women carry it in their lower stomach a lot.

I like the new look for the Holstauruses. You've got the full range of female body types represented in this game (I'm guessing the Harpies are probably going to be fairly lithe). Also thanks for the hot-fixing the Elve sex animation. The original version of it was...quite jarring.

DeleteMy 4.7 has 6 full pens of them, all 6 green pluses. Look for the "true breeding" trait.. or is it "breeding stock" one of them. get it and use it to max out all the things. Not just stats, traits too. I was running 10 greased lightning, 10 all night long, 10 true breeding, 10 breeding stock, 10 iron will, 10 fertile, nurturing, no downsides, futanari and honestly I forget the rest. I'd screen cap it if the blog put up with such stuff in the comments.

The game's called Breeding Season, the point of the game is to breed new creatures. A female with narrow hips is counter to that idea.
DeleteI love this game and the art style it has now. The only thing I could complain about right now that is in the game is the breed's and female elves' boob animation when being penetrated by the dickwolves. It doesn't look natural and it seems like the nipples are moving around the boobs in circles and it just doesn't feel right. Everything else in those animations is good and i understand that you are limited to using the models you have right now drawn up for the animations, but those boobs should under go a bit of re-evaluating and have the animation changed to something that looks more natural.

People complain about the strangest things on this game. Particularly the stuff that's actually closer to reality. Women have big hips. I should say, women who aren't model thin. Which would not make sense for most body types. There's even been articles about screwed up anatomy when artists forget to include real hips. I mean, if hips aren't big enough women have trouble giving birth. Big ol hips are kind of important.

It's not the hips per se. It's the body compared to the hips. I mean, the hostaurus has shoulders that are literally about half as wide as her hips. It makes it look bizarre. If her shoulders were scaled up to the sides of her hips it wouldn't look as strange. Would probably get rid of her odd torpedo boobs as well.

I finished the version 4.6.It was interesting and enjoyable, but half way through the game it got boring (nothing new to discover),just repetition. Would be nice if you would space out the events, so that there would be surprises through out the game.For the rare types such as the male opposite of the Holstaurus, you should consider the ancient legendary monster, the "Minotaur", known for it's strength and virility. As perversions go, see some of Picasso's drawing on the subject matter. It he was alive today, he probably would enjoy your what you are tying to do.
