Hey guys, I appreciate your well-wishes. Still running a fever but sudafed's doing a decent job of beating back the darkness :P. I'm still working on 4.8.2 and I'd like to have it up in a few more hours but I'm not sure if I can, but I thought I would go ahead and just put up the 4.7 public release now since I know ya'll have been waiting patiently.

The eye variations for the different expressions are still giving me trouble with the 4.8.2 build, and to be honest it's a lot more work than I was bargaining for. If I can't get it fixed before I pass out again, I'll at least try to post up the catgirlxcatgirl animation for you guys to see as I'm pretty pleased with the new facial expression set-up. Worst case scenario I may have to fold the changes I'd planned for the hotfix into the 4.9 update, but I would really prefer to just get the hotfix up for you guys sooner rather than later.

I'm actually not super pleased with it yet, but here's the WIP for the catgirlxcatgirl animation (you can tell I did this one rather than Mittsies :P). Note that in the future we're going to have more positions for the sex animations with more variety, more showing of the genitals, etc, but it'll take some time to get poses set up for those angles. Don't know how soon I can have this done and in-game, will keep you guys updated. I think I'm starting to feel a bit better.

Kinda got the same issue here as well. I dunno if there's some save edit tweaking I need to be doing, but it'd be quite nice not to have effectively restart every time an update shows.
DeleteIf they change any of the core code you will loose saves, that's just how flash works. there are some work around deals but I've never taken the files apart for this. google is your friend.
DeleteTry renaming the new game version as the exact same name as the previous version in the exact same folder where you had the previous version. This sometimes lets me keep saves.

I've been looking into their work and think their art and animation would fit in well into the game. they have a very high spread of niches and fetishes (some that I would consider extreme...and dark, but hey, to each his own) and I think it would help you guys out a lot even if you just use them for reference.
DeleteHonestly, H-bomb, the start of this animation is pretty solid, basically an improved version of what it was before. However, the two major issues that makes it look off to me are the hand sliding up and down changing it's position in a split-second. I know hands move during sex but right here it seems a bit odd with the sudden position-change jump. I'd either keep it in the final gripping position or in the sliding up and down position.
ReplyDeleteSecond one is pretty simple, lowering the catgirl in the front a little, the fact that her feet are further off the ground than the one behind her seems a bit odd if she's not being lifted, which she doesn't appear to be. In fact I'd position her feet a little lower (not an insane amount mind you) than the servicing catgirl, it helps give the illusion that she's standing slightly in front of her.
I think if you tweaked those two things, this animation would be pretty much set IMO.

DeleteAlso, one other thing I noticed that seemed a bit off was how often the mouth changes shape. While it's acceptable, personally I would only have it swap between two shapes instead of three, maybe just the grinning teeth and the o shape. The slight grin face is all right but it's a bit unnecessary IMO.
DeleteThe catgirl in the back does, as a very welcome first-hand experienced lady has said below, seem to be moving her head a bit too much, and the fact that her backside suddenly changes is a bit strange to look at, the butt shine doesn't slide naturally, it just jumps from one part of her rump to another.
Sorry if I'm tossing more tidbits here at such a late hour, but I just noticed this now and felt it had to be said. Still, H-bomb, keep up the good work (and maybe talk to Mittsies about toning down the helicopter-nipples if at all possible, if this suggestion isn't out-of-the-question, they just didn't seem fitting on the BreederxDickwolf animation, I'm sorry)

Mittsies is making animation, and, well, despite these hillarious spinning boobs, his animations look quite acceptable, not perfect, of course, but acceptable. You actually can see the difference between his and H-bomb's one. It's just looks smoother, more lively, even though some bodyparts are paralized, lol (hope that that's gonna be polished). I also hope that there are going to be different poses, not only wolf backwards.

ReplyDeleteEven though you don't quite understand the economic model (they don't get 14 000 per month), you're quite right - an ambitious project should be supported by appropriate quality and technologies, time also matters, but much less. As for me, the best way for creators to assure us and themselves of rationality of path they've taken is to present once a well made, no WIP animation set for one monsterxmonster or breederxmonster. That'll set up sort of "golden standart" and maybe will motivate the creators to rethink their long-run strategy in all possible ways.

ReplyDeleteMittsies was revealed to be the dedicated animator for Breeding Season, but Mittsies also announced that he was working on a huge game of his own, that was not Breeding Season.
Suffice it to say, the future with Mittsies as an animator for BS is... Eh, well, I'm not really sure.
Aside from that, it was already stated in an update quite a while back that due to a miscommunication, the CatgirlxCatgirl animation was not worked on when it should have been.

They are shit, it's a sad truth, but truth nonetheless. They look absolutely amateurish. The scaling is horrible, the framerate is horrible, there aren't enough parts for fluid tweens and those that are, are abhorrent - due to their size and use.
If Mittsie is working on a project of his, why the hell he was taken as an animator in the first place? Another amateur move.

Oh, and to all those haters out there. Donation: an act or instance of presenting something as a gift, grant, or contribution. Emphasis on gift. This is why you don't donate sums of money unless you are ok with the fact that said money is going bye bye. Once you give someone money you have no control over what's done with it, so if you aren't comfortable with the fact that it may not be used exactly the way that you imagine it should be, then its probably better if you don't donate. Ultimately its a gift and while they are promising something in return, you are still essentially just giving them a gift with the hopes that you will get one back. So let them keep working, relax, and give constructive feedback so that we can help them create what we all imagine our money turning into lol.

Could they try harder, perhaps treating this as a full time job? Probably, this is a dream income for many people. Give them time, they are just two people who probably were not ready for this, and as they work hard and continue to improve their skills I hope we will see that in game.

All right so last night I read the comments. And saw some i did not agree with strongly with so i typed in all caps because it was a late night but I mean what I said so let me make some points clear:

As for donations well if you are given a chance to look at a work in progress animation so you can tell H Bomb what is wrong, what needs improved, helping debug it, get cheat codes for it, and overall MAKING THE GAME BETTER for everyone all by just giving 10, 5, even 1 USD to them, well you are getting more than your money's worth
If this was a scam than it is a damn good one, giving update on a monthly just to keep us donating, no it is not a scam this game started as a passion for a good porn game. I saw it go through ups and down even though a year long delay due to real life issuse

DeleteI'm not going to act like I don't understand were all the hate is coming from at least from the backer perspective. Theres this at least psychologically for some the perception that giving money to something entitles them to some degree of ownership and implied promise of progress at an increased pace due to providing compensation. The actual meaning of donation aside I think it would be better as suggested by many that something like a progress bar be implemented instead of setting a dated schedule because lets be honest stuff does happen some people get sick others leave projects(have you seen the ups and downs of Project X Love Potion Disaster) this would eliminate that nasty assumption of it says today so its going to be online 'today'. Now I'm not saying that implementing the status bar eliminates the need for communication with the community because thats what keep interest alive. I think overall progress news has been good and constant but its when HBomb fell back into that habit of setting dates in stone that people started to get irritable especially when there preconceived 'promise' wasn't met for whatever circumstance. People in an anonymous internet are just more likely not to think rationally or have patience its the way it is.

I am starting to see a trend with animations, something i have mentioned on previous threads. Something i see h-artists do all the time. There is almost nothing visible in the animation. You can see the girls boobs and nothing else. You can take extremely explicit scenes and with proper posturing show absolutely nothing inappropriate or erotic. Something i call leaving it to the viewers imagination. You have a dedicated artist and animator now and so far most all the new scenes the girl is in exactly the same position, Does not seem to matter what the girl is or who her partner is. You could have the one cat girl sitting on the ground legs spread facing the camera, while the other cat girl is on all 4's with her ass/pussy facing the camera, but slightly to the side so you could see her licking the first cat girl's pussy. It is almost the same action occurring here except then the viewer can see all the action instead of having to imagine it. Please have your artist show of his artistic skill instead of recycling the same position for every scene that barely shows any naughty bits. What is the point of a sex game if you can't see the sex?
