Slight Delay

Hey, the 19th update will be coming out a few hours later than I'd hoped, so expect it in the early morning hours of the 20th. I'm going to be shooting on putting it up around 3 or 4 AM PST.

This will be a relatively small update compared to the update we plan on having on the 30th. For this update it will be updated models and variations for male and female elves, a few new sex animations (though none for the elves just yet), and some bug fixes. Expect a lot more animations when the 30th comes, as well as those gameplay changes I've been working on.

Oh, demons also :P.

    4. Eh, its a legitimate concern based more along the lines of the fact that it seems the team is having an issue with their due dates, and lack of updates on the site. I mean for the past month all we have seen is two pictures, one of which was mentioned to not even be in this month's update. It begs the question of, is there procrastination happening towards the early portion of the month? I'm not convinced the answer is yes, or no.

I think this skepticism could be avoided by more frequent updates throughout the month discussing what was being worked on, and what was being planned on, and obviously a large new release would help. Delays are not bad on their own, but when they are back to back so often, with no communication in between, its easy to jump to the conclusion that they are waiting till the last minute to get something done, and quickly figuring out they didn't give themselves the time they needed.

Still thats a lot of talk without knowing whats going to be released in the next few hours, im sure the amount of time spent working will be evident for either direct.

    5. These guys update the game 4 hours late, good solid update, everyone shits their pants because of lateness... real game developers push a game back by a year just because they can, not because they need to. Everyone says; "Oh but now there gonna make it better!!", game still sucks, no one admits to it. Troll logic??? question sauce??? you tell me...

    6. It was originally suppose to come out on the 15th, not the 20th.

    7. The update was originally going to be between the 17th and 19th, but to be perfectly honest I have a very bad habit of always thinking things will take just a smidgen less time than they will.

As for the lack of status updates on the blog, I apologize for not keeping you guys more up to date, and I do want to make sure I keep you in the loop in the future. It takes a little bit of extra time to make updates and I try to do it when I have something new to show you guys (mostly with new art), but I know you guys appreciate it so I'll try to keep more current with it.

This first half of the month most of my time has been taken up with (1) trying to find our animator, get him set up, and figure out how that work flow will work out, (2) working on the redesign of the stat system, which will end up going into an update all at once rather than incrementally, and (3) the continual reorganizing and refactoring of the code base necessary to deal with all the changes we're making. Unfortunately, it's just not a lot of flashy stuff I can show you until we've got all the groundwork paved out.

That said, I want to keep you all in the loop, so I'll try to make more blog posts for game design-based stuff that I'm working on. I can also try to make more detailed posts about the coding of the game for people who are perhaps just interested in that sort of thing in general.

In general, though, just because we're not making status updates doesn't mean we're not working on the game. One thing I'm considering doing is streaming some of my work, just to help put your minds at ease.

    8. Considering how many games have gone silent all of a sudden, even you went on a break with BS, you have to understand the people's concern.

Oh and don't fall into the soft words of the fanoby minority who kiss ass constantly. That's gonna cost you. Just do your stuff, but remember, now you got an audience that expects results and reminders to put their minds at ease.

    9. I now know what BS really means. But seriously, it took two poeple half a month to look for an animator? Now, I may not know much about coding and this technical stuff, but I do know that you don't spend two weeks (80 hours of work each) looking through applications, and hiring someone. Seriously, you guys are getting over 10k now, its time to get with it. On a positive note, I'm happy to see Mittsies was hired on.

    10. It's not like they were spending all their time looking for an animator. They had to try and keep up with their normal duties on top of sorting through the applications and suggestions they got.

  5. Sometimes things just don't go as planned. You see delays everywhere, even big corporations have delays. like for example video games when they take a whole extra year or 10 (cough) (duke) to come out.

  6. I very recently found this (like a week ago) and have since played through twice and had two very poorly timed all-nighters dicking around in it. I am super excited to see what it's like when it's all fleshed out! Signed up on Patreon as well. Even with very few animations and large chunks of gameplay obviously missing this is an addictive game, so well done!
