Also, I need some help: I figured out the issue that was compressing some of the UI elements and images, but I have to fix each one by hand. If anyone could attempt to list all of the UI bits that have compression artifacts (like the background of the shop window and the alruane protrait, for instance), that would save me a lot of time.

ReplyDeleteNo... it's a generic anime hairstyle and ryuko's is still different. The hairstyles in anime aren't always that unique anyways, the only thing Ryuko's hairstyle had as a defining trait was the single strand of red hair.

SUGGESTIONS:
ReplyDeleteThe current problem with the store is that it's damn hard to find a good monster, even if you only have 2 pens.. Let's say you are looking for futa catgirl. You can easily refresh the store several times before gettign even one (who might have bad stats).
Imagine how much difficult it is to find one when you have more pens. And given the cost of refreshing goes up and up it become madening.
So, proposed changes for store:

1) there are tabs for each monster type. Each monster type has 8 monsters in stock. Refreshing can refresh the entire stock (all mosnters) or jsut the specific monster type (cheaper). Tabs of monsters you dont' have pens for are greyed out.
This way, you know that you'll ALWAYS have 8 catgirls, 8 dickwolves, 8 elves, etc... to choose from
2) Keep the faces, not the monster icons. they can be used for mosnter tabs, but are unnecessary within a tab. In fac,t given that many people purchase monsters because of the specific look, a face is more informative.
3) Same applies to the breeding window. Faces, no icons. Use the sceen space avialable.

As seen above, use the screen width. Move the monster filter to the top row, and push both windows to the sides.
Add locks so the monster in the window is locked and any click will only update the unlocked window.
The free space you gain in the center could be used for aditional info (like parents for a monster)
AND the very center you can use to dispaly stats of the monster your mouse is hovering over. That way one can easily browse trough the list and have all relevant information.
Also, do something about the color/contrast. The current UI lacks sharpness.

DeleteWould it seem strange if I suggested that you actually change the futanari trait to just be a general hermaphrodite trait that allows female OR male monsters to have children with either gender? This would let someone run a farm that is made up entirely of male monsters if they wanted to, like can currently almost be done with female monsters (only needing dickwolves to clear out some of the contracts). You probably wouldn't need any new animations or appearance either.

DeleteI'm loving the different variety of Catgirls! There's a nice variety of hair style, skin color, mouth and eye expressions, and eyebrow orientation. The only thing that is throwing me off is the yellow "whites" of their eyes... It looks like they all are suffering from jaundice. Perhaps a vote on yellow or white "whites" of the eyes?

DeleteWhen i looked up the sclera (white of the eye) on wikipedia, I got the lowdown. Humans are pretty unique in the animal kingdom for having a very large, white sclera that sharply contrasts the iris (the colored part of the eye). In most animals, the sclera around the iris is the same color as the iris.

So I stand by my original statement. Either the sclera should be the same color as the iris (super weird looking) or preferably white. Perhaps a yellow or white sclera can be a breeding trait?

I like the new Holstaurus. It actually looks like a proper cow now rather than just a girl with horns and big tits. As for the backgrounds, the old ones were kinda ugly. It says work in progress because the new backgrounds aren't ready yet.
