Patreon Page is Live!

Well, that went from tentative investigation to reality incredibly quickly: http://www.patreon.com/user?u=108351

Our Patreon is up and running! If you're looking to donate and support the game, look no further!

For the time being those who donate $1/month will get early access to updates. Also, I will keep track of those who pledge and, when the voting site is finally operational (fair warning: it may be a long time, as in many months depending on a number of factors), they will be appropriately rewarded with voting points equivalent to the amount they pledged.

For this next update, since the Patreon is new and I haven't given you guys a good full game update in a while, the Patreon pledgers will get the update just one week early: that is to say, pledgers will get the update on the 30th, and everyone else will get the update on the 6th.

I will probably draw out the length from there: next month the update will be two weeks early for pledgers, and then one month early from then on out.

There are also additional higher reward tiers if you are a particularly generous person that will let you get some customized content put into the game, but make sure you contact us first via e-mail at HartistaPipebomb@gmail.com so we can work out what we'll put in.

Any support that you guys can offer is greatly appreciated.

  2. from what i see is that you charge per content update, so if for example you get the update every two weeks milestone will you charge twice per month that amount? or just once giving the second for free? and theres another, the larger pledges give the donor the chance to work with you to make some content tailored to the individual will they get to choose and event or a monster everytime you start working on a content update or is it a limited time option?

    1. If we reach the "update every two weeks" milestone I'll make sure that it continues to charge only once every month.

As for the custom content, they'll get to have something added to the game every month that they donate that amount, so if you continually donate $100 you'll get your own custom event every month. However, that is subject to change as we get a feel for work-loads for this custom content, but if it does I will make sure to warn everyone at least a month before-hand.

  3. will we still be seeing the beast/neoteny content or are you getting rid of it?

    1. Beast/Neoteny content is staying right where it is, though it may not be updated to S-Purple's art right away. Likely anthro wolves will go in first and then beast wolves later. I'm playing around with the idea of having an option to use the old animations if you choose to (though that will look kind of out of place :P).

    2. oh my god this is the best news i have got since a long time so, im gonna donated as soon as i can

    3. Good to hear that bestiality is staying, finally some good news. As a suggestion: rename the anthro wolves to be something other than dickwolf as it doesnt really fit the word. Maybe werewolf or wolfman would fit better. Its honestly a pretty unappealing monster though from the sketches you showed us. Maybe if S-Purple can make it look less roid buffed and alot less like some gay furries wet dream.

  5. I threw a couple dollars your way because you are making such an interesting and unique game. I'm looking forward to seeing this game grow.

  6. Damn! wish I had money to donate. Also for those who donate 100$/month do the events go for everyone in a update or do they like get their own game that they get the event?

    1. The customized content will be available to everyone once it is added into the game. Unless the donor stipulates otherwise, I suppose.

  7. the "per month" part is making me want to ask, if we donate 100 dollars on, say, April, but from May onward no donations whatsoever, are we still eligible for the custom content?

    1. If you donate $100 you will get your custom content put into the game, regardless of whether you only donate for one month.

However, you have to be donating at least $1/month to get early updates. I encourage people who want to get the custom content to go ahead and donate $100 for the first month and then switch to $1/month. That said, if you continue donating $100/month you will get your own custom content added every single month.

  8. Donated. Keep up the good work, guys.

  9. I'm not entirely keen on the idea of charging every month. What will happen with the people who donate, say, $100 but only once? Will they still be eligible for the benifits?

Also, will breeding and acquiring money be reworked any time soon? Seems like a lot of work for little payout, especially with some of the harder to complete contracts.

    1. Well for now you can use the debug code to add in a little extra cash just to make it fair.

    2. I encourage people who want to do large donations to go ahead and do the large donation for one month and then switch to small $1/month donations to retain the benefits.

  10. Is the male PC coming anytime soon?

  11. I ask for nothing more than to pick the color of the protagonists hair. I like to make female characters look like my GF. Thanks ;]

    2. Don't forget hair length. i want to make the PC look like me, but both the hair length and color aren't right.

    3. PC customization and a male PC are features we have had planned for a while, but they're unfortunately a far way off right now.

  12. Hi Hbomb,
Looking forward to seeing where you take this. Hope you don't mind that I mentioned the Patreon site being active on Legend of Krystal ... I'll take the heat for that ;-)

Hopefully now you can get back to concentrating on the game. (But the grad stuff does have to come first ;-)

  13. Considering how dead the LoK forum thread is, would you ever consider putting up an IRC channel or something like that so people interested in the game can have some place to hang out, chat, and discuss the updates and whatnot?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Bit worried about the month delay in receiving updates unless you pay.
For most games this is fine but you don't really update often enough for it to off-set the wait time.
Sure the blog updates somewhat often compared to before but as for the actual game versions it hasn't been too great.

  15. 1k a month doesn't seem like a sustainable goal :( What happens if we throw you a couple of bucks, but you don't reach the monthly mark? Do we not get anything?

As far as donating, I think id be much happier with 50$ once, than anything recurring. And as much as I feel your effort deserves some $ from me, I probably won't even do that till the game is out of the "alpha" stage, or your update track record improves

    ReplyDelete

    1. The $1k a month milestone is just for getting us to be able to do two updates a month. An update will happen every month regardless of whether we reach any milestones or not.

While I agree that I'd like to have a way for people to do a one-time donation, patreon doesn't support it (unless I'm missing some options somewhere, I'll dig around). I do encourage people to, say, make a larger donation their first month and then just switch back down to the $1/month donation if they want to continue getting the early updates.

    2. I'm sure that $1k would be a very feasible goal if the game was more well-known outside of the LoK forums and other smaller websites. Going around some other sites to promote the game would probably help a ton.

    3. Yep, I agree. I would put the Patreon page link in the next game update, and upload it again on sites like newgrounds and forums with games for adults. (I discovered the game on newgrounds and be now a 1$/month donator)

  16. If you are wanting more people to give you money and get excited about the game I would totally check out http://forum.nihonomaru.com/. In the "hentai games" section alone, they usually have around 250 users on. So post some stuff there and see how it goes.

  18. Just donated. I have a question, tho. When you release the content, how am I going to get it? You're sending it throught the email I registered on that site?

    1. The link to the newest release of the game will be available on the Patreon site. I believe that if you have it set in your account settings you'll also get it e-mailed to you.
