Art Team's To-Do List

Hi there, I've noticed a lot of people are confused about what the art team is doing. There were no weekly blog posts for November since we burned out after almost a whole year of nonstop work. S-purple and I were trying to finish most of the core art assets as quickly as possible. I'm also going to try and explain why sex animations have not taken priority over the designing of monsters.

The monsters before the final re-haul were messy, inconsistent, and with each new sex animation their faces and style changed. It was a necessary evil to stop and finalize the actual designs before continuing. 

Why though? Why not just fix it later???

Well...that was the problem, the monsters were changing every time we drew them. If we didn't finish what they actually looked like, they would look different each time you watched them having sex, changing proportions and faces.

What about the new monsters? You're just making more work for yourself!!

These monsters were planned to be in the game to begin with. I pushed for these monsters to be finished so we wouldn't have to worry about it later. You know, actually finishing the core part of the game so there would be no delays when pumping out animations.

This re-haul, these finalized designs, all of it is so when it comes time for animations, it will be smoother for the art department. We will have reference sheets to refer to when creating sex animation assets, when our next artist joins in they'll have solid designs to work with, and all we would need to focus on is the animations themselves. 

AS FOR THE TO-DO LIST:

This month is focusing on finishing all the Ferals.

When those are finished, animations will start pumping out as the wiki chart follows, which can also be viewed here and will be updated as the animations come out: 

  1. Fbreeder and Mbreeder x Monster pairings
  2. Catgirl x _______ pairings
  3. Futa Catgirl x _______ pairings
  4. so on and so forth as the chart dictates http://wiki.breedingseason.com/Animation_Tracker
Holiday Monster events will also be animated for the month they're included in. Everything last year that was either male or female breeder only will have the opposite included this year if time allows for it.

  3. Anyone else having trouble accessing the wiki half the time? Server not found. Also is there an official forum or something for Breeding Season?

    1. I suspect this is caused by the DNS server not beeing updated as fast when the server changes IP-adress, if it does change that is.

    1. They're raking in the most money on Pateron, the people who are complaining have every right to complain about the lack of content. Even if only half the money reaches them, they're STILL the most paid group on Pateron.

    2. Yes, but what you're forgetting about is that NOBODY forces the people to put their money on this project. I understand that since the donations are very big, it would be expected that the progress will improve. But let's not forget the developers team is just 4 people, and the workload is humongous. That's why I'm happy that they finally put a post about what is their current objective, what will be the next one etc. It gives people the idea of what to expect from the next update, and also puts a little bit of the pressure on the creators to actually fulfill those targets.

    3. I think what everyone seems to forget is there's only 2 people in the art department. More specifically, one animator (Soon to be two in January). I can only make animations so fast heh.

    4. Pee Wabaru, I think you need to check your graphs again, cause BS is getting $41,680.50 per month, Sakimichan is getting $33,848.00 per 2 weeks. that is a whole lot more,

    6. BS actually gets 28k per month. The number you see on Patreon does not reflect the actual money we receive. Most of the pledged payments are declined and don't go through.

    7. So the game got 2 years. Nice. But as coding I don't see anything for 2 years. I mean all the bug fixes and new elements coding could finish in one year easily. So what will the coder do when only animators left?

    8. Maybe while the animators are working, the coder will have other stuff to work on, that is not yet implemented in the game? Don't worry, I'm sure there will be bugs to fix, or some mechanics to improve, etc. ;)

    1. Honestly, H-Bomb should have been focusing on the design document from the beginning. But given that they've finally laid out their long term plans, a step with no animations available was pretty much inevitable, and is thankfully soon behind us. Once the last of the ferals are in and the new animations start getting added, interest will rise again.

    1. It depends on how fast S-purple and I can draw the assets, clean them up, and ensure the pieces rotate correctly for higher quality animation.

    2. Some of the animations you guys made, like the Fbreeder x Stallion and Fbreeder x Demon, I absolutely love. But I wouldn't be against penetration scenes, either.

      You guys aren't going to replace those animations, right?

      But if you are, could you keep the old animation and make the penetration one play when the Fbreeder is impregnated?

    1. Unfortunately, unless there's more than two animators in the future, it's going to take at least a solid year and a half to complete every animation in the game ever, including NPC stuff. Shockingly, as the lead animator, I don't want to work on this game forever, so you should expect everything to be completed within 2 years (Realistically).

    3. Scam confirmed then, right? Loop of infinite work, right? Two years more only for animations, meanwhile HPipeBom just scratch her balls, one year more to improve the code, ok, but after that? Because if he keep adding stuff the amount of animations needed increase, and since with 28k per month, without an office to paid, he need to pay salaries of 3k$ for a non full time job... Fine.

      A better web? Nope. Forum? Nope. Poll? Nope. Rewards for those who supported the project since the beginning? Nope. Full time job? Nope, even more, if this were a real job HPipeBom would be more than fired time ago.

    4. It's not HBomb alone who pushed for the completion of the monsters. It was a consensus from the entire team. These monsters were meant to be in the game and so it only makes sense to finish them all so we won't have to scramble to get them done later. This has, and will continue to be a full time job until completion. A website and forum is also coming, and should be done by the end of this year or very early next year.

    5. Vanilly you are my most beloved member of the team. So don't get me wrong but making a website+forum for this kind of game will take "1" day of a webdesigner. So this lies make me sick. This is not right. I can accept everything but this is ridiculous and there can't be any excuse for this..

    6. The problem is not try to finish animations, of course not, the problem is the way you are doing things for a few months, which is, by far, a scam.

      Two years more? And when these two years pass, what will be the next excuse? Some of the ones who have been here from the beginning, before Patreon, success and absolute HBomb’s greed, are a little tired of lies and deceive.

      Even with "only" 28k per month, I can assure you that you not treat this like a real job, not even close. Your wages are up to you, but we talk about a small team, which I doubt more than two dedicate 8h a day on this, what the fuck, anyone working know that real job always need a bit more time, especially when time is running out, as a developer I can ensuring you, therefore the feeling that someone does not want to write any more line of code in her life is pretty accurate.

      And this is where the problem comes, there is no interest in publishing the game in the short term, this has been demonstrated on many occasions.

      But only for a moment imagine that's true, everyone of you work on this full time. What will make the rest of the team for two years? Nothing? I understand that the animators may have work to do, but what about the rest? Will they be replaced by more animators? Or HBomb again put the same excuses that a year ago? In less than four months, the code would have to be more than complete, optimized and polished, that I guarantee as a programmer, what will happen then? You can not add more content because that's more work for you, and then enter an infinite loop. What excuse will invent HBomb then?

      Do he show us the forum and the web as keys moving are showed to distract a baby? Because surveys no longer make sense.

      Sorry but I do not think so, I have many years working on this and I have lived too many projects to know when there is no interest in finishing the job.

      You have played with the hopes of the people, you have taken our trust, and have spit in our faces.

      I just hope you realize what you've done, and that one day you meet in the same situation and you may remember what we feel.

  12. Will be an animation tracker updating? And i have an idea - different poses and animations for active and passive roles. I mean next:

    For example:

    Holostaurus(active)xCatgirl(passive) - one pose and animation

    Holostaurus(passive)xCatgirl(active) - different pose and animation

    3. My guess is just from pure work-load. As much as it might be nice to have each of the modifier traits able to interact with each other (normal - futa - neo - neofuta - feral - neoferal - futaferal - neofutaferal), it would multiply the animation glut exponentially into an impossible mountain. By having each of the modifier traits be effectively exclusive to one another, they allow for the all to be in, without multiplying their animation load to an impossible degree.

    4. That's right, besides maybe once they finish all the planned animations then they will be able to work on adding such features like neo+futa or neo+feral or futa+feral. But for now let the developers finish what they already have ;)

  16. Could you guys tell me when the build 6.6.6 will be released?
    I have 4star quest that can get new traits, and hope I can get the new one in build 6.6.6 instead get null/nothing.
    So, I wanted to know, if it is good for waiting it or not.
    At least giving some information like a week or half month that would be great.

    Updating more often on the blog would be nice, but otherwise, I approve of actually investing in what you're doing, naysayers notwithstanding. Glad that ferals are going ahead too. I'm sure that futa+neo+futa+feral+(insert desc here) with some partner would push the right buttons for *somebody*, but I know that it's impossible to satisfy everyone. I'd rather see a team that outlines its goals and actually meets them, than see a team that promises everything yesterday, but delivers a bare minimum tomorrow.

    I was, to be honest, really skeptical about this project when I first heard about it, but it's come farther than I would've imagined.

  21. With vast amount of animations, thankfully to addtion of variants and different color scheme that increase the workload, I can tell why it will take another 2 years to be finished. Hopefully this planning list is permanent. Any changes and addition that can cause an overdue will be a devastating news to some of us. All the best for dev to finish them, according to their solid plan.

  22. Any reason for not hiring a second animator to help cut the work load in half? I know you guys said you aren't making as much money as patreon claims, but even a small fraction of that seems like it would be enough to bring on a fifth team member? It just feels like it would be a smarter investment in the long run than paying one person for two years to animate a full game on their own. Cut Vanilly some slack, yo.

    LOL, so my BEACH broke, lol. I don't know exactly what I did to break it, but I shall try to describe it here:
    1. Went to beach and clicked the pier
    2. Clicked to aim
    3. Did step 2 above and used reel about 2-3 times... did not catch anything
    4. Did step 2 and 3 above on about the 4th time and all of a sudden the cast (the little ball that goes out got BIGGER!!
    5. Repeated step 4 above, reeled and was wondering if this was a next step that I was progressing to.
    6. The last time that I tried to repeat the same steps no ball went out, but the pier had an orange drawing on it that seemed to look like two pieces of something that was split in half, with a line drawn in the middle of it...
    Sorry if I am not able draw this picture in your minds; and of course it all happened too fast for me to do a screen capture.
    I left the beach and saved the game. When I went back to that game and to the beach, the pier still appears to be broken/inactive.
    ** This is not a complaint, lol. This is me trying to explain to the developers what happened to me at the beach. Hope this is good information to help. I am now starting a new game. :)
