Tentative Concepts

Hi all! We're making a lot of progress on pumping harvesting animations out, as well as introducing the new Mandrake and Swing monster!

We're also still working on the final Seraph and Dickwolf designs, so what you see here will probably not be completely final. However, the bust size for seraphs is final for variety and lore's sake. Also because the Dickwolf needed to be updated like the rest of the models, we thought it would be the perfect chance to reenvision the Dickwolf to better separate regular monsters from their completely animalistic feral counterparts. However like I said, not everything is final for now.

  1. +Vanillycake i have some idea for future updates It came from the one of the old consumables before the game mechanics switched the consumable Mermaid Jetspam I thought that it would be awesome to have like a Pond or a tank that could filled with aquatic monsters such as Mermaids/Mermails, Tentacle creatures etc. which could be filled by a minigame or bought from the store with the addition of a minigame make it a patron only which would make all those who are butthurt about Hbombs last post

  2. The Mandrakes give me mixed feelings. I like them and they're kinda cute in an odd way, but I was hoping for something more like the monster from the Valentine's event... its just, the female side gets nothing but bust monster girls and the male side get... actual monsters with monster dicks. Kinda not fair

Still, love what I'm seeing. Especially the new Seraph And Dickwolf designs.

  3. "However, the bust size for seraphs is final for variety and lore's sake."

Different doesn't always equate to better, and looking at the concept art I think this is a pretty terrible idea that ruins what was an otherwise great character design. To be blunt, the Seraphs have basically gone from being Erotic Angels to Marilyn Manson, and not in a good way.

Here's a thought: Why isn't there just a trait to affect monster breast sizes? All the breasts are "parts" in terms of the animations, so can't you just easily make differently sized breast parts for the monsters (small/flat, normal, and large?) and tie them in to a trait so that monsters with notably larger/smaller bust sizes than any given monster's default become possible? Sounds like something that would make everyone happy, and be fairly realistic (insofar as a game like this can be realistic anyays), without forcing any one monster type to have a permanently-the-same bust size that's going to just piss off the other groups of people for/against specific bust sizes?

    Something to think about.

Other thoughts are: The Pigman looks vomit-inducing, the Mandrake looks great, and the Inquisitor looks absolutely stunning.

    1. Long time lurker, first time commentor: must agree with bust size trait. Yes it means at minimum two more part variations on every animation (small/large) and three more parts if a "standard/normal" size is wanted. But i feel this would be so well appreciated by all that it should warrent a "will happen eventually" response which i would be completely fine with even if it became the last thing to make it into the game. Please Hbomb, vanilly, s-purple, please consider this. I fully recognize the amount of extra work this would entail but by the gods this would have no decension. Every player across the board would be happy about this.

    2. The Seraph is a patreon added monster. So the small boobs are highly likely requested by the person that wanted them added. Adding variable sized to anything would also mess with animations.

      Delete
    3. First, I've no problem with different sizes on "attributes", from flat to voluptuous, every character deserve is own style. Variety is good, and in some characters like Harpy seems logic. Of course the idea of have the same monster with differents sizes (read next paragraph) is good for us, more variety, but need more work on the other side, design, models, code, etc. I can accept that some monster or design are not of my taste, with no need of cry, or flame, or demand nothing about change stuff, just saying my opinion, on this case I like the design, maybe just a bit more bigger.

The "big breast" trait was mentioned before a few times by the staff, so maybe we can wait for that, but I'm not sure if they are just empty words, false promises, lies or just a smokescreen, unfortunately the project is have some of this, seems like 50%, plus 30% of real stuff.

Or maybe is a future feature for 2016, at the end of 2014 HartistaPipebomb told he need one year or more (last ETA if I'm not wrong), and have no need of more money for a long time. Well is true that now the project have more members so need more money but due since then we have no polls, no forum, no website, no milstones, etc. I think 2016/2017 is a good date for release the game, remember the goal is not develop the game, is not having the need of write one more line of code in her whole life.
And I say it as a patreon since month 1, a person who trusted him, a person who read this, http://breedingseasongame.blogspot.com.es/2014/12/response-to-patron-comment.html and believed it, another developer who understand how hard can be do certain things, not as a troll, but I'm not sure how much longer can I support lies and stabs XD.

    4. Last I heard, size variation hadn't been ruled out for special cases, but I think we can be certain that general size variation would, just as HeavensTaint said, make a mess with animations. If size variation is ever implemented, it definitely won't be soon, and it probably won't be for everything. Patrons have been asking for that from the very beginning and I feel sure that the BS team will do it if they realistically can, but it could easily be an unsurmountable challenge, weighed against everything else.

    7. I know at least one guy has been pushing hard (pun?) for the fbreeder to have growable breasts. I ended up writing a Breeding Season-themed story for that specific fetish. Well, more than one, now, because I guess lots of people like growing breasts. There's a whole website of smut fiction called Overflowing Bra devoted to that specific fetish, and the story got popular enough there to write another. I'll post that second one soon for anyone who likes words.

Unless S-Purple, Vanilly and Fleet say otherwise, though, I bet the other commenters are right and it's too hard to draw all the combinations of boobs.

    8. I have to say though The Fem breeder is evenly rounded sized she has the perfect waist size and her hips and back don't look like their strained because she supporting massive water melon tits with pancake nipples. Her breast size perfect they're not to small that they don't jiggle when she's getting pile driven from behind. over all I have to say the games hottest character right now in my opinion. she's also the character that has come the farthest and looks the best compared to what she used to look like. But the voice acting for her need some work and that's about it

  4. An idea unrelated to this update but that would be great to have in the game is some kind of toggle button or option to enable/disable the animations in the game, to allow for more convenient and player-controlled speed breeding. It struck me that currently it is very convenient for the monster combos lacking animations to speed-level/speed-breed them because instead of loading up an animation every time that you are also forced to click the X to close every time it just skips right to the update of stats and so on. So for instance if I need to get a male elf leveled up quickly to complete a request I can just select two male elves and have them mate with each other and just rapidly press the breed button until the hearts run out taking no more than a small handful of seconds to complete because there is no animation for the game to load. So, I think it would be a really useful thing for the various parts of the game where you just focus in on breeding up monsters with particular stats and traits and don't really feel like watching the animations at that moment, since you'd then be able to just temporarily disable the animations, speed-breed until you get the monsters you want, then re-enable the animations again.

A quality-of-life option for players, basically.

    1. you can go under options and disable animations whit every gender and then you can speed breed already works perfekt

      Delete
    2. I suspect Bwip would like to be able to shut off specific animations, without having to disable everything wholesale, and then maybe put them on again after filling a particular mass-breeding requirement.

I think that would be a bit more complex, or at least a bit more time-consuming, because it would add extra code-weight to every pairing across the board. It would also necessarily require at least a couple of new UI elements along the way... but if that were something that was doable, it actually seems like a decent enough idea - there have certainly been times where I've deliberately selected a non-animation pairing for a breed partner, precisely for that reason.

    1. Pretty sure it's been mentioned that HI will be coming back, yes. To be honest, I haven't played a build in many months, and I likely won't until we see some actual bestiality (i.e. with fully animalistic monsters) returning. I'm utterly uninterested in playing until the selling point that drew me here, is returned.

      Delete
    2. I'm not at that point, but I have to admit that the version that got me playing the game had the old quadruped dickwolves. The whole "dick wolf" joke works better with an actual wolf for me. Otherwise they're basically just big horny blokes with low IQ, and real life has got plenty of those on offer.

  17. BS devs please add a way to remove a pen after you've had one built if you decide you no longer want that monster type around and cluttering up the store. It may seem counter-intuitive, but sometimes you just decide you don't want a type of monster anymore and even if you sell off or release or donate all the ones of that type you have you're still stuck with them showing up in the shop because of the pen present on your ranch, so there really should be option to break down and remove a pen.

You could even make that a creative choice in the game in that you would have a limited number of locations on your ranch to place pens and could either have a pen for each type or double up on some of the pens giving you more room for more of a specific type of monster, which would be great. For instance, say you didn't want to have Demons anymore but decided you wanted more Catgirls you could tear down your Demon pen and put up another Catgirl pen, etc. Stuff like that.

But, at the very least, I'd like to at least tear down an existing pen so that I can remove a monster type without having to start an entirely new game. I know it's an easy change to implement, so please consider it. And please don't say "Just don't buy the pen in the first place if you don't want that monster type" because that is not only not a reasonable option, but people's preferences change over time it's just a fact of life. One day you'll like a monster, another day you won't. You should get to remove pens as your preferences change.

    1. Many folks have suggested that the purchasing of monsters be divided by type, and that the shop should guarantee a set number of each type, rather than the random assortment that it offers now. It sounds as though that fix would also solve your concern, since you simply wouldn't look at whichever category of monster you weren't interested in purchasing/owning.

      Delete
    2. No, that doesn't solve it, and that's an entirely different thing than what I suggested. It's not just about not having a type of monster show up in the shop, but also about removing a structure from the map that I no longer want to be there. Insofar as a game like this can be "realistic", it would both be realistic and reasonable that if I can have a structure built then I should also be able to have it torn down. And in terms of programming, it's about as simple a change as it can get since all you're doing is disabling the thing that enabled it in the first place. Plus, there's also the matter of the performance implications of the game calculating extra monsters per shop refresh in the other sections if that monster type is still "available" due to having a pen built such that even if I never look in the tab for it the game is still calculating new monsters to sell in that category so it is wasting performance on it; under my suggestion it avoids that nonsense because the game would know not to generate new monsters of that type entirely.

Now how about you stop trying to hijack my suggestions with your alternate suggestions and go back to lurking or sulking over the lack of bestiality or whatever else. Those of us who are actually still playing the game instead of being butthurt have things to discuss.

      Delete
    3. I'm sorry, does being discouraged over the content that's no longer in the game disqualify one from following updates and talking about it? No, put your pants on, and don't tell other people what they can and can't say.

Try to notice that this person has also been saying quite a bit here that isn't just "butthurt," and you then responded with your own case of anal discomfort in the face of actual legitimate reply, albeit one you didn't like. And, for the record, she's not the only one who is barely still following this game because one of the original selling points of it just isn't there anymore.

Anyway, it's true that it shouldn't be hard to implement, and it would be a basic quality of life addition to allow structures to be removed. To me, the main reason I would say that's necessary is because at times, requests will somewhat force you to raise a specific type of monster and get that kind of structure, even if you don't want to get that kind of monster, and so you may want to get rid of the structure as soon as you got that request out of the way; actually I think just the fact that requests can force you to do that to begin with removes the sense of being able to choose what does and doesn't appear.

In my opinion, it would probably be even more effective to take care of that by probably allowing maybe a certain number of monsters to be disabled as a matter of preference. Right now the game has content filters for gender-oriented animations, but maybe it could go even a step further and give an option to remove up to a certain amount of monsters to be effectively removed from the game (i.e., I personally really dislike the elves so I'd want to disable those, and that would just remove the structure and the monsters' influence from my game altogether, but I couldn't disable too many more types of monsters so the game can still have some variety to work with). I don't like some monsters that are in the game -- and, judging by some peoples' reactions to the monsters revealed in this update, probably quite a few others would appreciate an option to disable a few types as well.

But, still, allowing removal of structures is an easy step that should be taken either way, in some form. It's essentially just a basic feature that there's, while maybe not that great of a reason TO put it there, practically no reason NOT to put it there.

      Delete
    4. Thanks, Just. I wasn't attempting to derail, just looking to mention other requests that had a decent amount of momentum already that might also satisfy.

To Bwip (I'm going to name you Bwip, Anon, since the tailing digits of your ID are 223916, and just calling you 'Anon' feels too unfriendly), your opening line was about "no longer wanting that monster type around and cluttering up the store", in fact the body of your complaint revolved entirely around the fact that they continue to show up in store. So forgive me if I responded with mention to one of the suggestions that is geared precisely around that - alleviating store congestion and making it easier to see the monsters you want, and not the monsters you don't. I wasn't suggesting it, I was mentioning what is already a request that has been discussed and has some decent momentum behind it already.

I personally find it unreasonable to request dev time, however simple the operation might be, over something as fickle as "Today I want to look at catgirls. Oh, today I -Must Abolish all Trace Of their Existence from My Game!!!-, Ah, today cat-girls are fine again." Insofar as a game like this can be realistic, as you put it... it is by no means realistic to tear down and put up new farming buildings one day to the next, on a whim.

That said, I'm certainly not against having more options like that; for another bonus, it would give you more ability to interact with Levi, instead of just buying everything and then never talking to him again.

I suggested what I did only because it looked like from your comment as though the primary source of your upset would be solved by another request that already has some momentum, and I wanted to make sure you were aware of it.

Kindly refrain from hurling insults and derogatories at people who are simply trying to be helpful.

      -Erica

What a staggeringly rude and foolish thing to say. Erica 1)was offering a possible solution that has a likelihood of entering the game soon because it has been suggested before 2)is one of the most active commenters 3)has never remotely sulked despite the absence of the central draw of the game for her and 4) has been never less than sympathetic toward the BS team. It's so perfectly the opposite of the truth that I'd have guessed it was meant facetiously if it weren't phrased so sourly. It's really kind of stunning. Have you considered entering politics?

I hate to be a person that only has something negative to say, but I just couldn't help it. It was the reason I was excited for the monster at all when it was first mentioned, and now the excitement I had for the monster is gone. (Well not really because more diversity is fun).
